I'm a senior and family photographer in Edwardsville, Illlinois.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart. I'm a dog and cat mama, though I'm a total cat person. If I'm not working, I'm most likely drinking herbal tea and wandering the aisles of TJMaxx. It's also very likely that I found a new series on Netflix to binge. I'm what you might call "indoorsy." I'm a true enneagram 4 at heart. Naturally, my personality type is INFP!

Nothing makes me happier than meeting new amazing people and documenting their lives. I love how excited seniors are for their sessions. I adore seeing the connection and love between families. It fills me with joy every time I get to meet new clients, who often turn into friends! Everyone’s story is different, but I’m a firm believer that every story deserves to be beautifully documented. Investing in your memories is truly so important, and you will never regret it.
I'm not one of those people who has always dreamed of becoming a photographer. I have always loved taking photos, and I have many photos of my childhood dog to prove it.
I had planned on attending college and earning my bachelors degree since that is "the norm" nowadays. I've always been creative and have wanted to be a small business owner. I had expressed interest in photography to my oldest sister. She asked me to take engagement photos for her in October 2015. I had no idea what I was doing, I used my mom's DSLR in auto mode, but I fell in love with the experience after our session together. I knew it was exactly what I wanted to do! Photography is a combination of all of my interests, and it is the perfect fit for me.
My husband was in the Army for most of the beginning of our relationship. After eight months together he went off to basic training. After spending 28 months long distance we got married in the fall of 2016.
Eric was stationed in northern Virginia near Washington DC. I moved to live with him in the DC area, and we lived there for a year. During our time there I studied extensively about all things photography and business, educating myself to be prepared for when I opened my business. We moved back to Illinois in the fall of 2017.
I opened my photography business in September of 2017!
I knew that I wanted a career that I was passionate about. Ever since I was little I wanted to be a stay-at-home mother, just like my mama. I wanted to be able to raise our children while still having a job that I loved because that is so important to me. Though Eric and I don't have kids yet, being a photographer will allow me to be home with our children while still having a career, and I'm so thankful for that.
The career I've chosen is so perfect for me. It combines my love of art and business. It allows me to meet and serve amazing people, be creative as an artist, and have a job that I absolutely love!
